CHANGE…

butterfly (2)

CHANGE. No one can escape its grasp, avoid its whirlwind, or resist the immense power of its undertow. Yet, often the natural response to its presence is to fight it with every ounce of our being.

I used to be one who literally quivered at even the thought of change. The idea of abandoning my sweet, warm, cozy comfort zone was less than appealing. So, I never willingly invited that discomfort into my little world. Ha! A huge misconception on my part 🙂 The thing about change is, no invitation is necessary for it to consume all aspects of my life.

Change is inevitable, if I am not changing then I am not growing. If I am not growing, then I am choosing to remain stagnate, refusing to strive towards my full potential.

I have always been fascinated with butterflies. The beauty that unfolds in such a short amount of time, is nothing short of magnificent!

Much like the butterfly, with each stage of change, we discover a deeper depth of ourselves that we didn’t even know existed. Our heavenly father knows the beauty in which He instilled, and wills to bring out in us.

The butterfly embodies change and is a wonderful reminder of what it looks like to move forward out of the realm of our comfort zone, towards something greater.

The world around us is continuously changing for both the good and the bad. Discerning between the many changes is crucial.

Unlike the butterfly, we get to choose how we will allow the changes that greet us, shape the people we continue to grow into.

Choose to be the good change in the world 🙂

Hugs!
